A rambling rumination on art

It’s a fine luxury to be in a position to work at unravelling your world view through your art without the threat of poverty or persecution.

It is a noble endeavour to create pretty and decorative images that give pleasure and respite to our daily grind. Is exploring the not so nice realities of the world in an aesthetic coating any more noble?

Cats

A pilgrimage

Looking at the Hiroshima Panels: The work shares a place alongside Picasso’s raw and direct Guernica , Goya’s clarity in The Disasters of War series, and strength found in Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel ceiling.

SOS – Berlin 1983-Albert Speer’s son?

This urban development caught my eye when in West Berlin. I did not record the street name or the architect’s name…but from memory, I think it was Albert Speer’s son. Is there anyone out there who can help? And, I wonder if the development still exists?
