Childhood images

September 29, 2017

I have not been able to shed the mashing of my fish drawing and a photo from my bartered HM Bateman book of drawings and observations. The collage was originally done for the addafish campaign , but I decided not to use it as its reference was too oblique.  Buried in the collage is a contemporary view of our street view and a self portrait. The blur of a kookaburra is a member of our resident gang.

Shruwwelpeter brings back memories of chopped fingers, dangers associated with daydreaming and the playing with matches. Spring blossoms are just starting to show as crisp mornings dwindle..hopefully.
